Though we are happy that Chronicle chose us for their story about "Bargains on Newbury Street," there were a few inaccuracies in the broadcast. The stylists working at both James Joseph Studios are seasoned professionals with up to 20 years of experience. They are not trainees. We do have a 2 year training programs for our apprentices, and classes take place on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. You cannot book appointments for class. We will take your name and a description of your hair type and call you if you have the appropriate hair for one of our students. From a Newbury Street perspective, our prices are a "bargain." Our haircuts start at $40, and a partial foil starts at $80. The quality of work produced by our staff makes even our $60 haircut a bargain.
